Picture taking

We had an overall good experience taking Alexandra's one-year photos. We got a great shot of her with each parent (and the family shot from my last blog entry). . . . .

great shots with both Dad and Mom. . . .

We got some super-cute individual shots. . . .

She even kept her hat on for a while. . . .

But she hit a point where she had enough. She didn't understand why I couldn't sit with her in the rest of the photos. We knew that it was time to leave when she started doing the "all done" baby sign and waiving good-bye to the photographer. Still, most of the photos turned out great.

One Year Stats

Alexandra had her 1-year check-up last week! Dr. Lundgren, our pediatrician, who saw Alexandra in the hospital, summed up the experience by saying - "the time went by fast, didn't it!"

Here are her stats:

Height - 29 1/2" 65th percentile
Weight - 20 lbs. 13 oz. 50th percentile
Head Circumference - 18 inches (I think that was it) 70th percentile

She's doing really well, but not in as high of a height percentage as before. I have been reminded that I am the only one this bothers, since she's a very healthy kiddo, and kids grow in spurts, anyway. She did okay with the shots, although they are getting harder as she gets older and screams louder. I think we had a slight reaction to the MMR shot, or random heat rash this week (it could go either way).

We had pictures taken at Portrait Innovations to celebrate our first year together as a family. I will post more of them in my next posting, but am leaving this next photo (and the one at the top) as a teaser - enjoy!
