Annual Father's Day Tradition

We went to the NRA Museum this Father's Day, which is now an annual tradition for our family.  Christopher really wanted to see the Teddy Roosevelt exhibit, which was great.  It is a very doable museum for families with small kids, as it is not very large and there is a lot of stuff for them to look at.  Alexandra is drawn to the animals, and we all love the mock-up of a kid's room from the 1950's and shooting gallery.  And the lightsaber from Star Wars (which we even each got to hold when we visited on Halloween a few years ago).

Here are the kids with their daddy on Father's Day, 2013:

For comparison, here is our photo from 2012:

My kiddos are certainly growing up fast!  Christopher says he should still be able to pick both of them up for another good 5 years or so at least.  He's one impressively strong dad :)

9 months!

My little boy is nine months old! Here are his stats from his 9-month check-up: height - 30.25" (97%) weight - 19.7 lbs (50%) head - 50% (forgot the exact measurement here) He is growing so fast. We've seen major changes at the 9 month mark - he now pulls up on almost everything, plays better with toys (instead of just eating them, he does things like banging them together), and, best of all, says "mama." When we comb his hair to one side, he bears a striking resemblance to his daddy. And looks about a year older. He is growing up so fast! I don't remember 9 months going by so fast when Alexandra was a baby. It constantly reminds me to treasure every moment with both of my kiddos.
