We had a lovely first Easter with Alexandra. When she woke up, the Easter bunny had already visited our house, and had hid eggs with puffies in them. By hide, we mean the Easter bunny placed them in the middle of the floor so that she could get them. The cats had a lot of fun playing with them, too!

After breakfast (we tried steel cut oats for the first time - pretty good!), we went to mass. I was shocked that Alexandra was the only little girl wearing a hat - I keep thinking that I live in the South, but little things like this remind me that Northern Virginia isn't really the South :)
We tried to get a family photo by the cherry blossoms in DC, but it was an absolute nightmare trying to find somewhere to park. This happened to us last year as well when I wanted a pregnant shot of me by the blossoms. We enjoyed them from the car, and then took this family photo at ExxonMobil.

We went out to Christopher's parents' house in Vienna for our family Easter get together. We were very happy to get beautiful shots by the cherry tree in their front yard.
I especially love this photo of the grandparents with both of their grandchildren.
And here is a shot of the whole group!

The Easter bunny also brought a cute basket to Alexandra and Will at Grandee's house. Although Alexandra's basket had a cute pink bunny in it, she "borrowed" Will's yellow duckie and took him with her on her crawling tour of the house. She had so much fun with the duckie, that we might have to get her one of her own!

That pic of Alexandra and the cherry tree is just precious! Great job!
ReplyDeleteLove the family pics! Alexandra's outfit is just too cute - the little girls down here at our church were all wearing Easter bonnets. I never thought of it as a Southern thing. :-)
